The Lún HYPER D45 Disc Brake Wheelset is a high-performance wheelset designed for road and gravel cycling. It features a 45mm deep carbon fiber rim that provides excellent aerodynamics and stiffness, while also keeping the weight low. The wheelset is optimized for use with disc brakes, providing reliable and powerful stopping power in all conditions.

The new feature of the Lún HYPER D45 wheelset is the wider internal rim width of 21mm, which is ideal for riding with wider tires. This wider rim allows for better aerodynamic performance when paired with a 25mm tire, compared to the previous model Lún HYPER, due to the improved transition from the tire to the rim.

The Front and Rear Aero Profiles are individually designed to meet their unique demands. The Front Wheel is optimized for its leading-edge performance giving speed and stability in a variety of conditions with a more rounded rim profile. The rear wheel profile is taller and is optimized for lower yaw angles with an emphasis on trailing edge performance.

The Lún HYPER 2023 wheels are designed with the goal of reducing weight while maintaining strength and performance. Every gram counts, and even small reductions in weight can make a significant difference in a race where sprints are won or lost by fractions of an inch. To achieve this goal, the Lún team worked tirelessly to optimize the carbon layup process, making incremental improvements that ultimately resulted in a weight reduction of over 50g per wheelset compared to the previous model.

The Lún HYPER D45 2023 wheels offer a wider range of options than ever before, with the shallowest wheel now being shallower than ever at 35mm, and the deepest wheel being deeper than ever at 68mm. This range of options allows riders to choose the perfect wheelset for their individual needs, whether they are looking for maximum aerodynamics or lightweight climbing performance.

By increasing the drive-spoke angle by 28%, Lún HYPER 2023 wheels offer greater torsional stiffness and more direct power transfer, resulting in a 15.7% increase in torsional stiffness.

The filament-wound rim keeps weight down and acceleration fast. The butterfly weave finish reinforces the rim at the spokes while keeping weight down across the entire rim.

Carbon spokes are lighter and stronger than their traditional steel counterparts and offer great ride characteristics of snappy acceleration and greater wheel stiffness during sprints.

Lún Hyper D45 2023 wheels support tubeless tires, with small tweaks to the rim that make tubeless setup easier. Regular clincher tires and tubes are also supported.

The hub is the heart of any wheelset, and Lún Hyper 2023 wheels have a strong oversized 17mm axle that can cope with the forces of any sprint effort. Large 6903 and 6803 bearings placed in reinforced bearing seats help improve bearing life and lower rolling resistance.
